This is a review of the affect of water released from Pelican Lake on Rock Lake. Generally the flow from Pelican Lake is a small  fraction of the flows from Badger Creek, Pembina River and other creeks that feed Rock Lake.

Since 1995 the flow into Pelican Lake has been much higher than previous years. The record for Pelican Lake only goes back to 1962. It's interesting to view the chart for the bottom end of the Pembina River which goes back to 1903. It also  shows that flows for the watershed have been much higher 1995 and on than 1903 to 1994.
